A how-to for projects funded by CAL FIRE

Taught by Christopher E. Browder, CAL FIRE Deputy Chief for Environmental Protection

Learn how to apply for and manage CAL FIRE grants (VMP, CFIP, Forest Health):

  • This class will focus on CEQA processes related to CAL FIRE grant funding and private/public agencies’ legal obligations. It will cover CEQA’s purpose, why it applies, basics (authority, summary, key terms, process), lead & responsible agencies, Senate Bill 901, exempt projects, environmental documents, document adequacy and archaeology. While not ideal for complete new-comers to CEQA, it may be appropriate for some. There will be a lot of detail shared and plenty of time for discussion.
